The Playbook
Welcome to Price Action Society!
We want you to be with us a long time.
And to survive trading journey together, here's the big picture plan... WIN!
The game plan is simple... we want to win now and in the long run.
However, there are things that we need to do in order to continue winning...
So you got to get your house together, be discipline, and follow the game plan.
A few important things to know...
1. Number of Trades
Throughout the day, we will have 3 to 7 trade ideas everyday.
Sometimes more, sometimes less….
Our trades are mostly generated from our own price action indicators.
Do know that we do not take all signals that come our way.
We select and shortlist what we think are the best signals.
2. Win Loss Ratio
We will experience our fair share of winning streaks and losing streaks.
Please be sure that you use the right lot position for each position.
Many times, new trades might ask about win loss ratio without really understanding what it really means.
Let's say we have a 80% win loss ratio.
It means we win 80% of the time.
While it's great to win most of the time, the real meaning is this...
In 1000 trades, we will win 800 trades and lose 200 trades.
And in the game of probability, we do not know the order of wins and losses.
In the most extreme example, we could win 800 consecutive trades and lose 200 trades in a row.
The BIG question is can we withstand the 200 consecutive losses without Blowing up our account?
Most of the time, most traders do not have the "stamina" to withstand a losing streak.
This brings us to the next important element of trading... lot sizing.
3. Selecting the Correct Lot Size for Sustainable Trading
The only way to withstand losing streak is to have a systematic lot size.
If you did not get the win ratio part, please read through again.
Our recommended lot sizing per trade is…
Conservative: 0.01 for every $500
Normal: 0.01 for every $200
Using a $1000 trading account as an example...
If you account is $1000, then you can trade only…
Conservative: 0.02 per trade
Normal: 0.05 per trade
As your portfolio grows, you can systematically add to your lot size.
4. Use Common Sense and do not follow signals blindly...
In a rare occasion that you spot an error, then please use common sense to rectify the error and not follow blindly.
We will be posting quite a number of trades.
You don’t have to follow all trade ideas.
We narrow down what we think are good setups.
You can narrow down further if you want.
5. Trade Management
Once a trade signal is issued, we no longer update on the trade as it will get confusing.
Unless stated, all our trades have no expiry.
We will just leave the trades open.
If a new trade signal is issued on the same Forex pair, then cancel the previous trade signal and use the new signal.
If the new signal is the opposing direction of the previous signal then both signals are still valid.
We do not provide follow up on existing signals.
If you want, you can manage the trades on your own.
There is the simple way which is to just allow the TP and SL to hit.
Another way is to close your trades on your own, when you are happy with your profit.
It's really up to you.
You are always in control.
6. Be Patient
While we will have many trade ideas, it does not necessarily mean that all trade ideas will result in an open position.
Some orders will not be fulfilled and that’s ok.
We only want to get into position based on the conditions that we want to see.
So if we don’t get into position, that’s ok and we move on to the next potential trade idea.
